About Us
Vadu Izei – a village located at the confluence of the Iza and Mara rivers – is the perfect place to stop for a few days on your way to discover the historical Maramureş, its traditions and its culture. This is a perfect place which allows to visit Iza, Mara, Cosau or Tisa Valleys.
In Vadu Izei you can stay at Ardelean guesthouse, located around 500m from the main road (DN 18) at the end of a small lane, it is a very quiet place, having at the same time very nice views of forests, green hills and houses all around.
The inside and the outside of the house, made by local workers with wood and stone native to Maramureş, perfectly combine the traditional with the modern. The wooden house, woven wattle fence, the traditional gate sculpted by a local artist are only a few of elements that will help you to discover the rural life, the real Maramureş village.
Our Rooms
Rooms at Pensiunea Ardelean are built by local craftsmen using pine wood from the Maramureş region. They all have a balcony and private bathroom with a shower. There is also a TV with satellite channels and a seating area.
